Grower Profile: Bartholomäus & Eleonore Obster, Peterlippl Farm
Bartholomäus & Eleonore Obster
Peterlippl Farm
Buch, Hallertau
Bartholomäus and Eleonore are the 10thgeneration of Obsters to farm Peterlippl, which was founded in 1661 by Kaspar Heckmaier. Growing a mix of traditional and new varieties, the Obsters are above all quality-oriented.
Even with the centuries of history behind their hop farm, this young couple is still captivated by the yearly cycle of growth and the permeating aromas of harvest. And, they add, “we love that people can enjoy our beautiful hops by drinking beer!”
